Lürssen luxury charter yacht PHOENIX 2 has returned to the shipyard for her annual spring refit and service, and local drone photographer DrDuu has provided CharterWorld with video of her out of the water.

About outstanding Lurssen superyacht Phoenix 2
M/Y PHOENIX 2 was launched in 2010 and measures 90.1m/295.7ft with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Her interior and exterior styling comes from Winch Design and has a striking art deco motif within using a tri-colour scheme of black, white and accents in gold. The stunning sophisticated interiors are perfectly suited to large celebrations during the Mediterranean summer, as well as intimate gatherings and lavish family breaks with a wealth of amenities to entertain everyone, regardless of how varied interests might be.
Interior
The lower deck boasts a large beach club that along with the swim platform makes a sensational lounge for welcoming visitors on board. Relax and sunbathe beside the water, and make use of the extensive collection of water toys among the secluded Corsican beaches or the Balearic Islands. When a little bit of pampering is in order, there is a luscious spa centre with hammam, and after a treatment guests can sink into the plush seating in the cinema and watch one of the latest blockbusters. A lift/elevator connects all the decks for ease of access.
The main deck features an atmospheric dining area where dark-panelled walls and dramatic lighting set the tone for an evening of indulgence. A crystal chandelier hangs above the formal dining table that seats 12, and a grand piano is placed centre stage for live entertainment throughout the evening. There is also a second dining area farther aft just as elegant if more casual in appearance, and it can be opened up to the fresh air of closed off for a ‘winter garden’ suited to all seasons. After a busy day, guests can unwind in the salon and discuss the day’s adventures over drinks from the wet bar, or catch up on the latest sports on the top quality TV.
Hot tub
A second lounge on the upper deck could be used privately by the occupants of the Master suite – also located on this deck – and there is even more outdoor seating and sunbeds for resting after a large lunch or simply taking the day at your leisure. The Master suite further benefits from a private forward lounge and office, with access to the foredeck Jacuzzi and sunbeds.
The bridge deck has a light and airy feel that emphasises the space within using crisp white as the primary colour, large windows in a 180 degree arc and large skylights above. There are extensive views of the surroundings, however guests can get even close to nature outside where there is an alfresco lounge and even more sunbathing along the stern.
Formal dining
However the best outdoor area is the sundeck: A 7.5m/24.6ft counter-current pool acts as its focal feature, attached to which is an aft wet bar, sunbeds along both sides and a forward Jacuzzi commanding sweeping views of the scenic location.
Superyacht PHOENIX 2 is just as impressive in terms of her engineering, with a pair of MTU 16V 4000 M61 engines of 2,680 HP producing a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a transatlantic range of 5,370 nautical miles – more than enough to take guests through the Turkish Riviera and Cyclades charter grounds all the way to Barcelona.
