Mega yacht AQUA will be powered by liquid hydrogen stored in the 28 tonne vacuum-sealed tanks with a temperature of -253C/423F. While the water would only be the byproduct of hydrogen and oxygen, the yacht’s two one-megawatt motors and propellors will be powered through the fuel cells, allowing a top speed of 17 knots. With a cruising speed of 10-12 knots, her expected range is 3,750nm.

The innovative technology used in the construction of the vessel will allow guests to enjoy the warmth even while relaxing and entertaining on decks, thanks to the gel-fuelled fire bowls. This innovative approach will allow not having to burn wood or coals, attributing to the yacht eco-friendly status.
